Priestess NYC designer Cody Ross has a penchant for sexy, edgy, and quirky girls who are a little irreverent and subtly outlandish. The Texas born designer’s collection features voluminous dresses, cropped jackets, and rompers to feed the desire for individualism in an increasingly homogenized world.
Ross took a circuitous route to become a designer, attending the London School of Economics and working for many years as a hedge fund analyst in Shanghai, Dallas and New York while spending all his free-time looking at fashion magazines. Ross got fed up with the hedge fund business and quit his job to launch Priestess NYC two seasons ago. Lush materials excite Ross, and he loves the development process of sketching, sourcing fabrics, draping, and fitting. By transforming an active hobby into a full-time job, Ross has created totally worship worthy Grace Kelly meets Judy Jetson designs that are versatile and great for mixing and matching.
