Finally, a cartoon you CAN’T watch with the whole family.
The Three Thug Mice are gun toting, drug dealing, low down and dirty but lovable cartoon scoundrels; anti-heroes straight from the gutter. Pioneering a new genre in animation, the content of these cartoons reads like a Motion Picture Rating Board warning; extreme violence, foul language, explicit adult situations and heavy drug use; it is one hundred percent independent and uncensored.
Last summer Three Thug Mice ran as a full-page comic for six months in the back of The Source Magazine until it was banned due to it’s controversy. Now the criminally minded rodents are making their animated debut with voice over talent from notorious rappers, DJs, school of hard knockers, graffiti artists, former criminals, classic horror film killers and victims, a prolific porn star and even a few Hollywood actors including gangsta rap inventor Kool G Rap, Min One of “Style Wars” fame, and underground rapper R.A. the Rugged Man.
The series is titled “Year of the Rat” and is composed of animated shorts set in the grimy underbelly of the concrete jungle. The story spans a year in the life of the mice, low level players clawing their way up from rags to riches. They are rendered in a flashy, colorful and raw style and are all hand-drawn on pen and paper by underground cartoonist Steve Marcus and set against real photographed and video backgrounds that are a throw back to the dirty and dangerous old days of New York City.
