Emeka Alams is the brains behind the anticipated GOLD COAST TRADING CO line, its Emekas second time around designing. He is refreshed and more creative than ever given the new state of affairs. Emeka is truly enjoying designing on his own terms pondering up fresh innovative concepts and designs inspired from the continent he calls home…Africa. The line was created to ease his homesickness for Africa. “Once you’ve been somewhere so real you can’t go back to phony”, for Emeka Gold Coast Trading co is a creative outlet, a way to revisit Africa on a daily basis. Every design holds a nostalgic connotation, inspired by smell, taste, and sight from his experiences in Africa, with a touch of his current surroundings wherever he may be.

The line will consist of casual wear for women and men, like cardigan sweaters, jackets and special Afro design inspired tee shirts. This isn’t the typical outlandishly colorful afro centric wear one would usually see, “I wanted to focus on a colors and prints but with simplicity and functionality foremost in mind.” Therefore resulting in a practical high end relaxed line, that is Gold Coast Trading Co.
